Due to Popular Demand, Photos and Even More Description of the Toilet

Oh, all RIGHT. And this is totally the last post about the toilet. Here it is, in use and solo. The tank is much smaller than the 1935 tank we had, so now we have room for towering bottles of body lotion on the top. Very sleek, no? This morning we asked
Will if he flushed it and he said, "Yes, three times!!" I'm not sure he gets it. The button on the left is for pee and the one on the right is for poop and pee, or just poop if that's your style. To spell it all out to you, geez.

Another nifty way to save water (I read somewhere that the word "nifty" is in use again, just as I was about to discard it) is to put an empty plastic bottle in your tank. How elegant is that!

I obviously have no clue how to do layout. My first blog pictures, and they are of a toilet. I'm going to cry.

Putting an empty plastic bottle in your tank won't do anything except possibly cause problems when it floats around. Putting a full one in will cause it to use less water, but there are better ways to do this. It's better to just adjust the valve inside the tank so it doesn't fill as full.

The most important question is does everything flush that's supposed to flush on the first try? That was the problem with the first water efficient toilets; you had to keep flushing to get everything down, by which time you've used more water than you would have with the old style.

And you didn't get the lid with the butt shower that Toto makes? The boys would love the one where the lid automatically opens and closes.

YAY, thanks for the photos, and explanation, and everything. It *is* very nifty, that's for sure. Don't cry about those photos, though... it's not worth it ;) You can always post photos of other things later and we'll all forget about these ones. What about a pic of Zane?

And John, thanks for the clarification.

Amishlaw -- you betcha it flushes it all first time so far. This baby's rated at 800 grams. We didn't get the butt shower, but we did get the slow closing model. You just give it a tip and it slowly and quietly glides closed on its own.

I'm officially inviting myself over to check out your toilet. No other entertainment necessary. I'm obsessed with the self-closing idea. Mazel tov!

What a splendid looking toilet. Remind me to tell you the story about the water saving dishwasher...

You are going to have to have a toilet viewing party, so we can all check this wonder of technology out.
